#이명박 says that the G20 is "a chance to showcase" Korea - British media think differently...

It is quite depressing to see such lack of interest in the G20 from the British media. The BBC has it as a second rate headline with a story they published 3 days ago. There is nothing on Seoul at all.

Yet, tomorrow COEX is effectively closed, costing local businesses huge amounts of money in lost business and the inconvenience to office workers, local residents and regular shoppers is disgraceful.

All I can say is … Is it worth it?

AND YET …

Two weeks ago the first Korean F1 GP was held in Yeongam. Worldwide, 500,000,000 people tuned in to watch the race and the qualifying, and the Korean government gave little or no support. The stadium was not finished and the world's media had to stay in "love Motels" that, according to some reporters had not been cleaned properly.

It seems that despite the best efforts of the Korean people to promote Korea to the world, the decision makers in government really seem to have got their priorities completely wrong.
