The Joy of Annual Planning.

This is a copy of an email I sent to all my students at my Learning Centre. I felt it was important that I wanted to share it with you, too. Enjoy.

It took me years to learn why daily and weekly planning is critical to being productive and fitting in everything we want to do.

Before I became consistent with planning, I was all over the place. Days were dictated by other people and events, which created enormous backlogs in emails and messages.

I spent most of Saturday catching up on all the critical work I had missed during the week.

Daily planning prevents your day from being hijacked by other people. You are clear about what needs to be done, and that plan for the day keeps you focused on getting it done.

Your weekly plan is your big-picture plan for the week. It helps you navigate the week and prevents important projects and assignments from stalling.

There is one plan, though, that changes everything. That’s the annual plan.

This plan allows you to step away from the day-to-day and week-to-week stuff and focus on the bigger picture of your life. It’s your opportunity to lift your head, look further out, and decide where you want to go.

Annual planning is where real changes in your life happen.

What to get healthy? You could decide to do the 5BX exercise programme every day for 365 days (I can promise you doing that would transform your health, and it only takes eleven minutes a day.)

Want to change careers? Twelve months would give you sufficient time to retrain, take a course and apply for a new job.

Want to move house? Twelve months allows you to find a new home and move.

Whatever you want to do in your life, twelve months gives you an opportunity to do it or, at the very least, make significant progress towards achieving it.

If you haven’t done so, download my free Annual Planning Template. Then, spend the next two to three weeks thinking about the questions and creating a list of exciting things you would like to accomplish in 2025.

Then, next month, watch out for the follow-up email. Once you have a list of things you want to change and do in 2025, I will show you how to turn those ideas into actionable steps.

To further help you, (re)take the Time and Life Mastery course. If you have not already joined this course, I’m happy to give you a 50% discount. Just use codisgreat when you check out.

Time And Life Mastery is the complete package. Not only do you get everything you need to create a life-changing plan for yourself and your family, but you also learn how to bring those plans together into your weekly and daily life.

PLUS, as a special bonus, you also get the complete mini-course library. This includes six courses covering everything you need to destroy backlogs and control your time.

If you feel a little extra help is needed, I have a few coaching spots available. You can join my coaching programme here.

I’m here to help, so if you have any questions about planning 2025, reply to this email, and I’ll be more than happy to answer your questions.
